What people are saying about French Quarter Rain: Poems inspired by New Orleans ...

October 20, 2014
Format: Paperback
French Quarter Rain captures both the beauty and the grit of New Orleans.
Falina doesn’t sugar coat her feelings or observations in these poems. The
result is a heartfelt and raw view of a city that most people either love or hate.
Whichever view you take, you can’t deny that New Orleans is a unique city
unlike any other. Not only do these poems convey the good and bad sides of
New Orleans, but it contains an element of humor as well. One of my favorites
is the poem “Sir.” I would have never thought that a cockroach could be made
funny.

heartfelt and draw you into the city, both the good and bad parts of it. The poems
bring out emotion in you when you read them from joy to sadness. I highly
recommend reading this unique collection of poems about the very unique city
of New Orleans.
